NIKA Region - Diving Spots - Top Five

This Region has the best variety of Dive sites in the Maldives:
Shark Point, Manta Point, Channel and beautiful Thilas.

Gangehi Pass, Channel: (Big Fish)
Distance 20 min; Depth 2m - 30m.
One the longest channels in Ari Atoll about 2,5 km long with some caves, one with a length of 300m and possible to dive both sides.
Grey and white tipped Reef sharks, Eagle ray, Stingray, Turtle, Tuna, seldom Whale sharks.

Dinoluga, Manta Point: (Big Fish)
Distance 20 min; Depth 8m - 30m.
Big plateau alongside a channel with some caves and on top of the reef from December to April Manta cleaning stations.
Manta rays, Napoleon, White tipped Reef sharks, Turtles, Tuna, Net moray.

Maaya Thila, Shark Point: (UW-Photo)
Distance 60 min; Depth 5m - 30m
Round reef with some caves, one big nose and some outstanding coral blocks, with a lot of black coral; it is since many years a natural protected area.
Grey + White tipped Reef sharks, Batfish, Turtle, Barracuda, Jackfish, Stonefish, Octopus.



One of the TOP TEN Dive sites around the world.


A lot of fish, big and small.
Kuda Thila:
Distance 15 min; Depth 6m - 30m
A small reef with two reef tops, few caves and an excellent coral growing.
Napoleon, Grey + White tipped Reef shark, Turtles, Scorpion fish, Leaf fish.
Miaruga Thila: (UW-Photo)
Distance 15 min; Depth 6m - 30m
A unique coral formation with a 20m canyon, two tunnels and excellent coral growing.
White tipped Reef sharks, Napoleon, Eagle rays, Sweet lips, families of Moray eel.
